Cole Renzo thinks his greatest challenge is to behave for the remainder of his term at Halfway House. Until he meets his new boss, Ty Calloway, a man who ticks off every box on Cole's list of interests.
A sought-after restorer and customizer of exotic and collectible cars, Ty had enough confidence to command what he wanted in life, until one fateful night changed everything. Almost two years later, he's slowly rebuilding his life with great control. He's defied the odds and works tirelessly to be the man he once was - but he still feels broken.
Cole's candor and unfiltered personality awaken Ty's barely-remembered desire to greet each new day with a smile, while Ty's unwavering acceptance of Cole's quirks and brash humor makes Cole feel as if he fits in for the first time in far too long. When a nemesis threatens Ty's personal restoration and the things he holds dear, Cole is determined to protect their relationship, even if that means sacrificing everything he's worked so hard to achieve.
But Ty will have to let his guard down, surrender control, and admit he needs Cole first, even if that puts him at risk of breaking beyond repair.
This is book three in The Men of Halfway House series. Although part of a series, this book can be heard as a standalone.

Oh, how I love this series! A Restored Man takes Cole, the overly talkative ex car thief from A Hunted Man and pairs him with Aiden's brother Ty, who owns an exotic car restoration shop.Cole is amazing, and he knows he made mistakes, and he's done his time. But beneath his cheerful , talkative exterior is a young man who sees himself as not having much to offer. He knows cars and he's not terribly modest about that, but he sees that as less than what his siblings have accomplished. Seriously, he's like the car whisperer. And when he meets Ty, he finds a challenge that he happily accepts, if only so he can spend more time with Ty.
Ty is a little bit broken. Not irreparably so, but he thinks he is. A couple years ago he and his parents were in a car accident where he was the only survivor. He's scarred and is still undergoing physical (and mental) therapy. Since that day, he's been a shell of a man. Something about Cole unsettles him, though and he tries to resist because he sees only heartbreak down that road.
Cole and Ty together just made me happy. Ty vastly underestimated Cole's persistence at first, but Cole managed to break down those walls. The romance was immensely satisfying and the sexytimes were well worth the wait. A Restored Man wasn't overly angsty, either, and it easily could have gone that direction.
This is one of my favorite series and I cannot wait for more :)

A Restored Man The Men of Halfway House Book 3 (Audible Audio Edition) Jaime Reese Greg Tremblay Inc Romandeavor Books Reviews
WOW... this was hands down the best one of this series so far! I absolutely LOVED Cole! He's hilarious and sexy and let's just talk about his bossiness when he's bein all "toppy".... I fell for him immediately lol
I feel like he didn't have a lot of faith in himself in the beginning. He tried so hard even from the beginning, tried to be better and not let his mouth get him in trouble... And nobody really understood him except maybe Julian, I loved seein that relationship. Julian really cared about him and had faith in him even if Cole didn't realize it til later on.
Speaking of Julian and Matt, I really hope we get to see more from them later, Cole was right, they need marriage and babies, they'd both be amazing parents.
Ty broke my heart. He was broken, he really needed Cole they fit each other perfectly. I hated how much they beat around the bush both too scared to take the leap and just admit they had feelings for each other, but it was entertaining seeing Cole try to be good P
I loved loved loved how much he made Ty come out of his shell, he made him stop hiding himself, he made him see himself how Cole saw him and that was beautiful. I loved that he did that even when I thought at times he was too pushy about it, but it's exactly what Ty needed so it worked out.
The whole scene at the end with stealing the car... I was on the edge of the page the whole time, my heart beatin a mile a minute. I couldn't read fast enough I just had to see what happened and I'm so glad Robert got a swift kick in the face and then some. I was really hoping that wouldn't be left unresolved and WOW what a scene, I swear I saw the whole thing playin out in my head like it was a movie and it was perfect and suspensful and just wow.
And then FINALLY Cole tells Ty he loves him. I felt like I had been waiting on him to say it the whole book because it was so obvious that he did and it was so obvious Ty needed to hear it... but it all came together so perfectly... I wish I could give this book more stars, I'm completely in love with it and it'll be so hard to top this one!!
I really hope we see more from Aiden and Jessie, I have a feeling Jessie has a heartbreaking story and I'd really like to read it... This was a 5 star read for me, I can't say enough good things about it and I honestly can't find one thing wrong with it...
Best read in a while! Can't wait for more!!!
Don't pass it up!
One of the greatest pleasure a reader finds in an author is when they are able to get totally immersed in the lives of the characters we read about. In Jaime Reese's "A Restored Man" we find ourselves once more transported into the lives of the Men of the Halfway House.
This latest offering takes the reader on a ride of a life time. Transporting the reader down a path of Love, Lust, Forgiveness and Redemption. But there is more than the story that draws me to Ms. Reese and her writing.
Many times people see the Gay Romance genera and automatically thinks it is a gay sex book, but Ms. Reese's ability to write a book filled with layers of emotions and love is unique and so very refreshing. She seems to effortless weave a tale of two people in love, who are faulted, have issues and still can beat all the odds and come out in love at the end. Cole and Ty fight tooth and nail to overcome their personnel issues, to break down the walls each one has erected around their hearts and to take a chance on love. The fact they are same sex is really just a side story.
If you want to read a series that will touch not only your heart, but your soul as well then the Men of the Halfway House must be on your To Be Read list.
